Upcoming Event: Barefoot in the Park in Indianapolis

Will you help us raise 10,000 pairs of shoes for Central Indiana children?

On Sunday, October 14th, Samaritan’s Feet will host Barefoot in the Park, a 2 mile barefoot walk and 5K run in the Precedent Park (on 96th street behind Scotty’s) in Indianapolis, IN. Barefoot in the Park is presented by Central Indiana Credit Unions and their employees.

This isn’t your typical benefit walk/run. We’ve designed this event to be experiential in nature. There will be markers and stations throughout the park with pictures and actual living conditions that children who don’t have shoes have to walk through each day.

For $25 per person, participants will receive a special walking/running experience, a t-shirt and a complimentary “barefoot breakfast” prior to the walk. That $25 will make it possible for Samaritan’s Feet to buy two pairs of new athletic shoes for children in need. Immediately after the walk participants are invited to watch the Colts away game vs. the New York Jets with us. We’ll have a fun atmosphere with inflatables, games, face painting, and big screen TVs. We’ll even grill some hot dogs and hamburgers for the perfect tailgating experience.
