What an awesome trip. Our team of 26 from the United
States and Nevis went into the enemy’s camp and took
back some of the souls that he has been stolen from
us….We were able to distribute about 3000 pairs of shoes
on children. We actually shipped and donated a total of
over 6000 pairs of shoes to the poor children of Guyana
for this Samaritan’s Feet Greater Guyana Celebration
project.
We saw hundreds of children from Christian, Hindu, and
Muslim backgrounds come to the saving knowledge of Jesus
Christ, and each leaving with bright smiles on their
faces after being fitted with their new pairs of shoes!
Who would have thought a simple gift of a pair shoes
would make such impact in a child’s life?
What an awesome display of God’s love to the poorest of
the poor in Guyana. Our lives will never be the
same…Daily we had close to 1000 children and parents
queuing up from 5am in the morning for the opportunity
to receive a pair of shoes! Over 90 percent of the
population of Rose Hall, Sophia, Linden, and Port
Morount live at or below the poverty level. It was a
blessing to see many of these children be blessed and
outfitted with a new pair of shoes, but more
importantly, the opportunity to meet and invite the
creator of the Universe into their lives!
