A New Model for a Sustainable Community of Orphans
Samaritan’s Feet and Gene Smart Compassion are two not-for-profit organizations dedicated to making an impact in practical ways to change the future for vulnerable children and create a model for a sustainable orphan community which includes housing, food, education and employment.
Different Ways to Build a Strong Community:
1. Meals for a Month - Supply Food:
This program is a new way to feed malnourished children in South Africa. For just $12 a month you can feed a child for a year. Imagine that you are a child with no way to provide for yourself. Now imagine that you do not know where your next meal is coming form. Be a hero, and feed a child for an average of just 40 cents a day!
Note: a one-time gift feeds a child for an entire year! This means that $144 will automatically be deducted from your account. Monthly support will simply withdrawl $12 a month for 12 months.

Many children in Sub-Saharan Africa do not attend school because they lack the basic supplies needed to succeed in an educational environment. With a one-time $100 gift, you can provide a child in Masoyi a new pair of shoes, a school uniform and the additional school supplies needed to give him/her the extra push necessary to become a role model in the community. The gift will also provide the child with a spiritual leader in Masoyi to help guide and teach important life lessons. No gift is too small, and every dollar counts! Give a child a Smart Start today!

3. Online Adoption Tool - Provide Housing, Food, Education, Employment:
This unique tool allows groups and individuals to unite for one special family at a time. Each "adoption" will make a sustainable impact on the community of Masoyi. A family can be sponsored through online donations that will be added together to reach $6,000. Your gifts will provide a Child-headed household with the following:
- A new cinderblock home.(or repairs to an existing home if they already have a cinderblock structure)
- A home garden starter kit with a wheelbarrow, soil, seeds, fertilizer and tools.
- Monthly groceries for one year.
- New shoes, school uniforms and school supplies
- Access to educational and vocational programs and spiritual guidance.
