WASHINGTON - A football game became a movement to raise awareness in Southeast D.C. on Friday night.

On October 11, 2008 Manny Ohonme, Nigerian-born founder of Samaritan's Feet will put his feet where his heart is, and once again go barefoot. This time, to begin a 300 mile "barefoot walk" to raise awareness for Samaritan's Feet and their global mission. To him, it is a personal journey to fulfill a God given dream of "giving back."

Churches pair up to help community’s kids, relate the Gospel. HICKORY - Volunteers in a long line of chairs sat across from children eager for a new pair of shoes. They didn't just hand children a box of shoes and send them on their way. They took part in a solemn ritual first. The volunteers performed a ceremonial foot washing for each child.
