The Polar Barefoot Run in Charlotte & Greensboro

The Polar Barefoot Run is a 5K run/walk that will benefit the children of Nigeria. The event will take place on January 19, 2013 at 10am – similtaneously in Charlotte and Greensboro.

Our goal is to serve the children and the nation at large by providing at least 5,000 pairs of shoes for the children to help them get back to school. Please help us to help thousands of young Nigerians create new lives – we believe that children of Nigeria hold the future of the country in their hands. We are doing this 5K Fun Run/Walk in an effort to unite with the millions of children around the world who don’t have the privilege of owning a pair of shoes.

The point is to literally “run/walk a mile in their shoes” . . . or lack thereof.

When: Saturday, January 19, 2013 – 10AM
Where: Charlotte, NC, Freedom Park
Greensboro, NC , Country Park Picnic Shelter

Ways You Can Get Involved: You can get involved by becoming 1 of the 500 participants to join my team. If each participant will commit to raise $300 we will reach our goal of $50,000 which will fund 5,000 pairs of shoes! That is 5,000 children’s lives that will be blessed! You can also help us in raising money for Run For Africa by clicking the button on the right “Join Our Team” and set up your own fundraising page. Please join me so, together, we can make this goal a reality! Please join us to redefine lives and give hope to hopelessness. We will stand in our bare feet together to bring awareness to those in need. Call your friends to action, raise funds, and become an advocate for those in need of our help. If you don’t want to run barefoot – no problem, you can still participate, but your registration fee will cost you $30 to keep you shoes on ($20 to run/walk bare foot).
