Wells Fargo Duke Energy Tower Lights Will Support Samaritan’s Feet

The tower will be lit to orange tonight to support the Women Ambassadors Barefoot Gala.

Charlotte, N.C. – The Wells Fargo Duke Energy Center lights will be lit to orange tonight, November 9, to support the Samaritan’s Feet Women Ambassadors Barefoot Gala, to be held in uptown Charlotte on Saturday, November 10.

The sold-out event will begin at 6:30 pm and will take place at the Charlotte Marriott
City Center. The evening will raise funds for the Women Ambassadors of Samaritan’s
Feet. Proceeds from the evening will be used for local and international shoe distributions and for the construction of a school in Burundi, Africa.

“We are honored and humbled by the support of our local corporate community. Each act of support brings us closer to our goals of supporting health and education in Burundi and providing shoes in the Mooresville community,” shared Tracie Ohonme, co-founder and vice president of Samaritan’s Feet.

About Samaritan’s Feet
Samaritan’s Feet, founded by Nigerian born Manny Ohonme and his wife Tracie, is a 501(c)(3) humanitarian aid organization that shares a message of hope and love by distributing new shoes and washing the feet of under-served individuals around the world. There are an estimated 300 million children who go without shoes every day and more than one million that die each year from foot borne disease. Our goal is to provide 10 million pairs of shoes and, since 2003, Samaritan’s Feet and our team of ambassadors have provided shoes for more than four million individuals in over 60 countries.
