The Dan Dakich Show
The Dan Dakich Show on ESPN 1070 The Fan has partnered with Samaritan's Feet and IUPUI Coach Ron Hunter. Dan has agreed to go barefoot on the air every day from now until January 19th until we get 500 basketball coaches to agree to coach a game in their bare feet on or before January 17th.
Dan needs your help in getting the word out to all men's and women's basketball coaches (High School, College, AAU, Pro, etc).

With your help, Dan Dakich, Ron Hunter and Samaritan's Feet will provide a pair of shoes to a child in need.

Dan' s Bio
Indianapolis…One of the best known and most respected names in Indiana sports, Dan Dakich joined 1070 The Fan as its mid-day host on October 6th.
Dakich spent 16 years at Indiana University as a player and assistant coach for IU legend Bob Knight, and then enjoyed a ten-year tenure as the head coach at Bowling Green before returning to Bloomington last year where he finished the season as IU's head basketball coach.
Both in Bloomington and Bowling Green, Dan has demonstrated unshakable integrity and character. The desire to help basketball players learn lessons that serve them well as adults is the hallmark of a fine coach, and Dan has shown that to be his first priority. Eighty-eight of the student athletes to play four years for Dan at Bowling Green earned his degree.
As well known as Dan is in the sports community for his tactical knowledge, he is as well regarded as an insightful and funny speaker at camps and public events. Dan's knowledge extends to all sports as he is an avid fan of all Indiana pro and college teams as well as the Chicago Cubs.
"Dan knows sports and perhaps more importantly, he has those qualities that will really make him a great host,” Sterling added. “Dan is exactly who he seems. I have never run into anyone who doesn't like and admire Dan."
