Latest Project: Community Sponsorship Adoption!

Heroes Helping Heroes invites you to welcome new members to your community by sponsoring a family. There are two different levels of sponsorship to make a lasting impact on your local community by "adopting" a family from Masoyi. This adoption will personally link you with a family while providing monthly updates which include pictures and personal messages.

Two Tiers to Fit Various Needs and the Size of Your Community

Tier 1 - $6,000 to provide a family with...

New Cinderblock Home.
Meals for 12 months.
New shoes, school uniforms and supplies.
Vegetable Garden Starter Kit
Community support through vocational and spiritual enrichment programs.

Tier 2 - $3,000 to provide a family with...

Necessary repairs to existing cinderblock home.
Meals for 12 months
New shoes, school uniforms and supplies

Community support through vocational and spiritual enrichment programs.

Note: The difference is a 1st Tier and 2nd Tier adoption is the degree of housing needs for vulnerable families. Some parents passed away and left cinderblock homes for their children. While some families are fortunate enough to have suitable housing, they still have drastic needs for a chance to have a bright future.

How Do I Get My Community Involved?

High Schools/Middle Schools: Have the student council at your school organize the collection of enough shoe boxes to account for every 1st period / homeroom class at your school. If each student in a school with 1,500 students donates one dollar a week for only four weeks into these shoeboxes, you can adopt a family. To help raise money, place a shoebox in the main office, library and even at the ticket booth at sporting events. Make sure pictures of the family are on or near the shoeboxes to help encourage donations! Host fun activities for your school such as a dance, a club carnival or a talent show to help unite the school around the cause and help raise additional funds.

University Organizations: Merge the interests of your university club with the needs of impoverished orphans.You can raise the money by collecting dollar donations in high traffic areas on campus, club projects and athletic events. Unite your greek community to help adopt a family through social events such as cookouts, mixers and golf tournaments. A specific fraternity/sorority can contact their national chapter to collect just one extra dollar of dues for just one month as a part of a national initiative.

Churches: Unite in fellowship with your church to adopt a family as a mission project. The child-headed household can become the newest members of your congregation, even if they are there only in spirit!

Businesses: By adopting a family, your business could show that you care about more than just making a buck, while also increasing visibility in the community and creating a positive, communal bond among employees. We will also recognize your generous contribution on our website.

Families: Honor the memory of a lost loved one by adopting a family in his or her name. If you want, donate a picture of your loved one, and we will make sure the adopted family receives it.
