Press Release: SAMARITANS FEET FUNDRAISER AT EPIC SHOOS
Las Vegas, NV. - On Friday, February 1, 2008, epic shoos will team with
Samaritan's Feet in hosting a fundraiser at Epic Shoos located at 1209 South Main St. in the Arts
District. This event will be a shoe drive accepting donated (new) children's shoes as well as monetary
contributions funding and raising awareness for Samaritans Feet. This will be the kick off to a month
long event in honor of black history month. Shoes and donations will be accepted February 1st
through February 29th.

coach hopes to raise 40,000 pairs of shoes
Ron Hunter, IUPUI’s men’s basketball
coach, will stride onto the gymnasium floor on Thursday,
Jan. 24, as the Jaguars take to the court to battle
Oakland barefoot. He hopes many of the IUPUI students
attending the Jaguars basketball game will be shoeless
as well.

Jan.27 and encourage their congregations to come to

Outstanding Youths Wins Samaritan’s Feet Scholarships
for Cultural Exchange Experience
Samaritan’s Feet has announced the recipients of their
2007 “Shoes of Hope” Youth Ambassador Scholarship
program. The six middle school students are a part of an
inaugural group who will participate in an
inter-cultural scholastic program in South Africa from
November 1st through the 12th.

Hundreds of walkers will pound the pavement April 7, 2007 at Memorial Stadium, in the heart of uptown Charlotte. The event will help raise money to purchase footwear for impoverished children in our community, across the United States and around the

A few years ago, I was asked to speak at a RedPrairie conference in Arizona. During the event I ran into Manny Ohonme, a RedPrairie employee and a veteran of several transportation management software companies. He told me about a new nonprofit venture that he had started called “Samaritan’s Feet.” His goal was to provide shoes to poor people around the world.
