Update: March 19, 2020
In a world that is full of fear and uncertainty right now, it’s important to pause and count your blessings. Although we’ve been impacted here at Samaritan’s Feet, the story of hope never stops. Samaritan’s Feet believes in inspiring hope and now is our time to do just that. We have the chance to use our voice and give hope and love at a time when the world needs it most. Children may outgrow their shoes, but they will never outgrow the messages you leave with them.
Send a message of hope and Samaritan’s Feet will distribute it to someone in need.SEND A MESSAGE
As a humanitarian aid organization, one of the goals of Samaritan’s Feet International is to address disease and illness in impoverished and susceptible communities through the gift of shoes. Samaritan’s Feet is actively navigating a world with increasing health concerns due to COVID-19 and we are committed to the health, safety, and well-being of our recipients, staff, and partners.
As of March 17, 2020, Samaritan’s Feet is implementing the following:
- Shoe Distributions in the U.S.: There will be no public shoe distributions for the next 60 days. We are working diligently with our partners to reschedule these distribution events.
- Charlotte, N.C. Warehouse: There will be no volunteers in our shoe-processing warehouse for the next 60 days. We are dedicated to helping limit the spread of disease and have followed recommendations from North Carolina and federal government agencies. We will work with groups to reschedule their volunteer time.
- International Missions: International mission trips have been postponed until after a period of 90 days. We are in communication with our international partners and team leaders to reschedule these trips. Our standard cancellation policy remains in effect at this time.
But the story of hope never stops. With your continued support and contributions, we can work towards our mission of creating a world with zero shoeless children. Please stay tuned to our website and social media channels, as well as your email inbox, for new, innovative ways to receive encouragement and to discover opportunities to continue giving hope when the world needs it most.
We will continue to closely follow developments from the Center for Disease Control and the U.S. State Department. Any future updates, if necessary, will be communicated via our website at www.Samaritansfeet.org/Response and our social media channels. For any questions or concerns, please email email@example.com.
