In a world filled with uncertainty due to the global pandemic of COVID-19, Samaritan’s Feet sought new ways to bring  joy to those in need around the world. Although the method may look a little different, the result is the same: hope. See what we’ve been up to since March 1, 2020:

Your Words Matter

In one week, Samaritan’s Feet and their Hope Notes initiative were part of two different feeding programs in the greater Charlotte area. When families arrived to pick up meals for the day or week, they also received a little encouragement from a stranger.

Hope Day in Cleveland

Samaritan’s Feet was honored to partner with The Cleveland Hope Exchange to deliver 500 pairs of new shoes and Hope Notes to healthcare workers at MetroHealth. These individuals are going above and beyond to care for the sick and we wanted to bring them a little comfort.

Brightness in the Dreary

Holding umbrellas and wearing their face masks and raincoats, a long line of families, separated by 6 feet, stood and waited outside in the heavy rain near downtown Pittsburgh. It was 9:30 a.m., but the event didn’t begin until 11:00 a.m. These families were ready.

Appalachia Mission Trip

Join us in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains in Gary, WV, one of the poorest counties in the nation with the highest percent of children living below the poverty level. We’ll serve individuals in this remote area by providing them with new shoes and letting them know that they are loved and valued.

Race2Zero

Join NASCAR’s Corey LaJoie and others from around the country as they collect new shoes for the organization. It’s an easy process and fun way to get your community involved. Sign up to receive your collection bags and start gathering new, lightly used athletic shoes.

Continuing to Serve

As we continue to monitor health guidelines and recommendation, we will begin preparing to serve across the United States during our busiest season—Back to School. Please stay tuned for opportunities to help equip students materially and mentally for the new school year.
