Helping Refugees in Lesvos, Greece
As you know, over three years ago, thousands of refugees began escaping from danger from Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan and fled to Greece seeking safety and a new life. Rescue.org reports that Greece currently hosts approximately 50,000 refugees.
Over 5,000 refugees are currently living in camp Moria in Lesvos. EuroRelief, a Greek humanitarian NGO operating on the island of Lesvos, has made an urgent request to Samaritans Feet to provide sandals to those living in the camp. So, Samaritan’s Feet is sending 5,000 pairs of sandals and supplies to serve these refugees as they arrive in Greece.
